Honda Civic vs Mazda 3

Asked by Mandi Henderson

My husband and I need to purchase another car for our daily commute to work, which takes about 90 minutes on the highway. We have had a look at a 2010 Honda Civic Limited Edition, which is owned by a retiree and has done 41,000 km, and a 2010 Mazda 3 Neo, which has done 91,000 km and is hubbie’s preference. Which would you recommend for fuel economy, servicing and driving comfort.

Both cars are good ones, and I’m sure you would be happy with either of them. If I had to choose I would probably go for the Mazda, for its economy and servicing costs, and I believe it would be a little more comfortable. The Civic is a very good car, though; it’s well built and a delight to drive.
