Hyundai ix35 2012: Can a peeling steering wheel be fixed?

The steering wheel on my 2012 Hyundai iX35 is peeling and looking quite shabby. I see others have mentioned this too. Can I get Hyundai to fix this?

12 Jan 2018By all means you can try, but I doubt that you will have any success. The car is six years old, and the steering wheel is something that is subject to wear simply from being handled.
