Local or dealer service for Calais

Asked by Peter Dyer

Six months ago I purchased a three-year-old Holden Calais V, and now I need to decide who should service it, my local mechanic whom I trust and have used for years, or should go to my local Holden dealer. I am concerned about the need for specialized service that dealers might be better equipped to do. What do you recommend?

Sounds like a no-brainer, stick with the mechanic you know and trust. If he's as good as you believe he will be able to service your car without a problem. If a problem arises that is beyond him I'm sure he would know to whom he could refer for a solution.
