A Mazda dealer recently quoted me a price of $270 for a minor service on my MX5 NC, but a local Brakes Plus shop has quoted me $120 for virtually the same service. The dealer service seems expensive given it only involves oil and filter and safety check. I would appreciate your comments.

6 Sep 2011The price difference between the dealer and the independent service outlet is typical of what you find. There’s no reason the Brakes Plus people couldn’t do the service.
