Asked by Michael.
I'm very happy with my new 2011 Mazda 3 Neo except for the requirement for six-monthly services to keep my warranty. My wife drives a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer and Mitsubishi specifies 12-month services, as do most cars today. Making things worse is that I'm an ultra low-mileage driver, around 4000 km annually. My dealer says that's Mazda's conditions, which I'm fully aware of, but not happy with. What do you think?

14 Jul 2011Mazda's service interval is every 6-months/10,000 km and while that might be more frequent than most other makes, servicing is what keeps our cars in tip-top shape and I wouldn't recommend you vary your service routine away from the Mazda recommendation. Doing that while the warranty is still in effect could become an issue if and when you had a warranty claim.
