Second engine replacement in a 2015 Citroen C4

Asked by Juan

I have a 2015 Citroen C4 that’s done around 28,000 km. At 15,000 km they had to replace the engine and now it looks that the engine is broken again. Do you have any advice on what to do, what can I claim from Citroen, and what are my specific rights?

Were you told why the first engine failed? It’s most unusual for an engine to fail at such low kilometres, and to have it happen again is unbelievable. If the engine has failed again and needs to be replaced Citroen should do it under warranty, which should still be current. If they don’t then go to the ACCC for help, or take your claim to VCAT.
