Citroen C4 Problems
No car is perfect, but we've gathered everything relating to the Citroen C4 reliability here to help you decide if it's a smart buy.
Citroen C4: Can I use E10?
You can use 91-octane unleaded petrol, but to get the best performance and lowest fuel consumption it’s recommended that you use 95-octane Premium unleaded.
Second engine replacement in a 2015 Citroen C4
Were you told why the first engine failed? It’s most unusual for an engine to fail at such low kilometres, and to have it happen again is unbelievable. If the engine has failed again and needs to be replaced Citroen should do it under warranty, which should still be current. If they don’t then go to the ACCC for help, or take your claim to VCAT.
C4 automated manual gearchange
The Citroen has an automated manual gearbox, which means it is a manual gearbox with an automated shift mechanism, and what you're feeling is exactly what you describe, a smooth, slow manual change. It sounds normal.
Citroen C4 fuel economy
Problems don't fix themselves, you had a problem and I'm guessing you still have it after replacing the faulty sensor. I would have the car checked again in an effort to trace the cause of the problem.
Does my Citroen C4 need a new belt?
I would strongly recommend that you go ahead and replace the belt, as belts do deteriorate and stretch, even in what appears to be a short time. If you don't and it breaks you run the risk of major engine damage in the worst case, or at the very least being left stranded on the side of the road.
