Seven-seat 4WD for towing?

I’ve recently retired and I’m contemplating buying a caravan and a 4WD tow vehicle. We are thinking we would like the smallest, off-road, pop-top van with a full ensuite, probably an 18-footer. As with most people, money is an issue, but we believe we need a seven-seater (grandkids), automatic 4WD drive able to tow 2500kg-3000kg. On the surface the Holden Colorado 7 or the Isuzu MU-X look reasonable value.

13 Apr 2015I rate the Colorado ahead of the Isuzu but, if you can make do with something that will tow 2500kg rather than 3000kg, also look at a Hyundai Santa Fe as I give it The Tick.
