Small new car to run around town

Asked by David

My sister is looking to buy a new car and has no idea what to get. Her only conditions, apart from price, are an automatic and five doors. She will only use it to run around town in regional NSW with no long trips. I have suggested the Toyota Yaris or Mazda2, but they would stretch her budget a bit, so what is your opinion on the Suzuki Celerio currently advertised at $13,990 with auto and the Hyundai Accent at $15,990 with free auto upgrade.

The Celerio is fine for that sort of use and the price is very good, but if it was my sister I'd get her to spend the extra on the added size of the Accent and the five-year warranty.
