Can you tell me when VW's cam chain tensioner problems were resolved?
I'm considering a used Tiguan 132TSi or Yeti 112TSi, 2012 or later, depending on price, and I don't want the expense of fitting an updated part.
I'm not sure what evidence a dealer could give to assure me the vehicle had been upgraded.

20 Mar 2017All model years 2008-2013 appear to be affected.
We understand a new tensioner was fitted from 2012.
