Will Kia warranty be matched?

Asked by David

Please confirm three things: 1. Whether tariffs on cars made in Japan will be reduced when the free trade agreement with Japan is completed and whether the reduction is likely to be reflected in reduced prices; 2. Whether the seven-year Kia factory warranty is likely to be matched by other manufacturers; 3. Whether Kia is likely to use the Hyundai 2.4-litre petrol engine in its Sportage.

1. Tariffs only drop from 5 per cent, so don't expect any price cuts. 2. only Hyundai has the potential to match the Kia warranty, at least in the short term. 3. The engine could move at the next full model change.
