I acquired an as-new Jaguar X-Type, front-drive V6 auto at 48,000km. It's a bit underpowered but a lovely motor and gears. It rides well on undulations and curves but the front suspension reacts noisily to sharp edges of bumps. I had Pedders check the front end but no faults or looseness was detected. I am happy to change tyres to a softer type if it would help. I have lowered the pressure a little but with no difference. Am I just too fussy?

30 May 2016If the Pedders blokes can't find anything, and I'm a huge fan of the brand, then it's likely a softer-riding tyre will help. The X-Type is based on a Ford Mondeo, so you could be expecting too much.
