Lexus Australia has opened the order books for two sporty new Inspiration Series special editions of the LC flagship coupe, but fewer than five examples are up for grabs.
The LC500 and LC500h Inspiration Series and priced from $219,393 and $219,553 plus on-road costs respectively, which positions them $24,636 and $24,338 higher than the ‘regular’ LC500 and LC500h.
For the extra spend, LC Inspiration Series buyers get gloss-black 21-inch forged alloy wheels, a fixed rear wing spoiler made from carbon-fibre, and a black exterior trim, with the latter contrasting with the White Nova and Sonic Silver paintwork options. Onyx is also offered.

Inside, carbon-fibre scuff plates help the Inspiration Series stand out from the LC crowd alongside black/Saddle Tan leather-accented and Alcantara upholstery.
For reference, the LC500 is powered by a 351kW 5.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol V8 engine, while the LC500h is motivated by 264kW 3.5-litre petrol-electric V6 hybrid powertrain.
The former is mated to a 10-speed torque-converter automatic, while the latter is paired with a four-speed unit and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Either way, drive is sent to the rear wheels.
While the Porsche 911- and BMW 8 Series-rivalling LC500 is normally available in a convertible body-style, it isn’t in the case of the Inspiration Series.
