Renault Australia has raised prices across its entire passenger car and commercial product line-up by as much as $2210, coming into effect from July 1.
The French brand, now imported and distributed by Ateco Automotive, chalks up the price rises to the increasing cost of logistics and material sourcing, with specification to remain static.
This means the Captur small SUV and Arkana crossover lines are up $1210, now kicking off at $31,300 before on-road costs and $35,800 respectively.
The Koleos mid-size SUV meanwhile, is up $1410 across the board, barring the Black Edition grade that jumps up just $410.
As for its commercial vehicles, the Kangoo rises by $100, and the Trafic and Master vans are up $1000, with the exception of the Master 12 seater bus that jumps up $1750 to $67,600.
However, it's the Megane RS that sees the biggest increase in cost, with the hot hatch up $2210 to start from $62,300.
“While these price increases are an unfortunate consequence of the ever-changing global world we live in, the Renault range still represents a premium European offering combined with genuine value thanks to its high-levels of safety, technology and cutting-edge design,” said Renault Australia boss Glen Sealey.
