Mitsubishi will re-launch the famous Ralliart name, using the performance sub-brand to launch a hardcore Triton that will finally take the fight to vehicles like the Ford Ranger Raptor and Toyota GR HiLux.
In news that will surely warm the hearts of fans of Japanese performance everywhere, Mitsubishi used its FY2020 financial results presentation to flag the return of iconic sub-brand, in an effort to deliver more "Mitsubishi Motors-ness" from its line-up.

Presumably inspired by the success of Toyota and its GR family, Mitsubishi will seemingly first turn its attention to its dual-cab pick-up, with the presentation featuring a Ralliart-badged Triton powering across a sand dune.
The new model promises "an adventurous spirit" and "overwhelming driving durability", but the brand is yet to detail just what will be powering it.
The news follows Mitsubishi Australia confirming to CarsGuide in 2019 that tougher Tritons would begin to appear in the "short to mid-term".
