Audi has sliced the price of entry to the 2025 Q4 e-tron by $3400 ahead of its imminent launch.
The Q4 e-tron has been highly anticipated by Audi, finally giving it a rival to the popular BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 which are selling strongly considering their premium prices.
The rear-drive Q4 e-tron 45 now starts at $84,900 for a 76kWh (useable) battery pack while the sleeker Sportback version increases range to 540km and scores 20-inch alloy wheels for $86,500, both before on-road costs.
As a quick comparison, the Q4 e-tron 45 now solidly undercuts the BMW iX3 M Sport ($89,100) and matches the much smaller Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ ($84,900) for asking price.
Above the entry grades, Audi will also offer all-wheel-drive 55 Quattro models in wagon ($105,900 with 488km WLTP driving range) and Sportback guise ($107,500 and 503km) at launch.
Audi Australia is sweetening the Q4 e-tron’s rather delayed launch (to ensure the improved battery chemistry made it for greater range) with 12 months of free ChargeFox public charging at ultra-rapid and fast charging locations to buyers who take delivery before December 31.
As for charging, the 2025 Q4 e-tron benefits from improved fast-charging capability of 175kW (DC), taking the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in around 28 minutes.
The rear-drive e-tron 45 develops 210kW and 545Nm which is enough to hit a claimed 0-100km/h sprint of 6.7 seconds.
It is fitted with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, power tailgate, leather upholstery, 10-way power driver’s seat adjust, seat heating, tri-zone climate, 10.25-inc digital driver’s display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an eight-speaker sound system. The Sportback gets standard 20-inch alloy wheels to justify its cost.
The 55 Quattro increases the motor count to two though, like the Cupra Tavascan (with which it shares the VW Group MEB platform), it retains a rear-drive bias.
The small front motor increases overall power to 250kW but does not increase torque beyond 545Nm. The 0-100km/h sprint falls to 5.4 seconds.
Additionally, the 55 gets different 20-inch alloy wheels, S Line interior and exterior styling, sports front seats (with Nappa leather a $2500 option), memory function for seat and mirror positions, 10-speaker Sonos sound system and progressive steering.
Various option packs, including one bundling black trim, S Line design details and comfort features are available.
The Q4 e-tron joins the luxury Q8 e-tron and e-tron GT in Audi’s local electric car line-up in December. More models will follow as Audi looks to increase EV sales locally, including the larger Q6 e-tron and A6 e-tron sedan.
“With the addition of our exclusive launch offer and the full support of our BEV-certified dealer network, the Q4 e-tron is poised to make a mark in the premium electric vehicle market,” says Audi Australia Director Jeff Mannering.
“We are thrilled to bring this exceptional vehicle to our customers and look forward to seeing it on Australian roads shortly.”
