Priced at $150,000 before on-road costs, the Mighty is available initially with a Cab Chassis configuration with a genuine Hyundai alloy tray adding to the cost and a Pantech boxy body option to be available at a later date.
Powering the Mighty is a permeant magnet synchronous electric motor that outputs 120kW/320Nm to the rear axle, with top speed pegged at 100km/h.
Meanwhile, the Iveco eDaily produces 140kW/400Nm in overseas markets, while the Isuzu N Series NRR makes 370Nm from its powertrain (power to be confirmed).
The Mighty is an all-electric light-duty commercial truck.
With a massive 114.5kWh lithium-ion battery, the Mighty can travel up to 200km with a full load in real-world conditions before needing a recharge.
As for its rivals, the Isuzu will use modular battery packs up to 100kWh targeting a driving range of 200km, while the Iveco boasts a battery capacity of up to 111kWh for a 300km range.
But with access to a 100kW DC fast charger, the Mighty needs around 71 minutes to go from eight per cent battery to fully charged, while the light truck can also add about 100km of driving range in 20 minutes.
The Hyundai alloy tray has a 4200mm by 2354mm dimensions.
Only six Hyundai truck outlets will offer the Mighty, with exterior colours extending to Creamy White or Hyper Silver – both coming with a cloth interior.
Standard features include 7.0-inch displays for the driver and multimedia touchscreen.
