New Honda Civic sedan 2020 pricing and spec detailed: Toyota Corolla and Mazda 3-rivalling small car gets more expensive
Honda Australia has upped pricing on its Civic sedan, increasing the cost of the small four door by as much as $200 for the 2020 model year.
The point of entry to the four-door Civic line-up, the VTi, now costs $22,590 (+$200) before on-road costs, while the VTi-S and VTi-L are also $200 pricier at $24,790 and $28,190 respectively.
The $31,990 RS sedan however, remains static in price, while the top-spec VTi-LX is now $33,890 (+$200).
Powering the VTi and VTi-S is a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, outputting 104kW/174Nm to the front wheel via a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
Stepping up to the VTi-L, RS or VTi-LX however, will net buyers a 127kW/220Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine, which also drives the front axle through a CVT.
Standard equipment includes 16-inch steel wheels, electronically adjustable door mirrors, eight-speaker sound system, 7.0-inch multimedia touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and electronic parking brake.

Stepping up to the VTi-S adds keyless entry, push-button start, 16-inch alloy wheels, chequered pattern interior, leather-wrapped steering wheel and blacked out front grille, as well as front and rear parking sensors, and Honda’s LaneWatch camera system.
From the VTi-L grade, buyers get Honda’s Sensing suite of advanced driver-assist technologies, including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane-keep assist, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels, power-folding mirrors and automatic headlights.
