Peugeot Australia has increased the pricing of all of its cars and SUVs by $2000 to $4000, depending on the variant.
Speaking to CarsGuide, a Peugeot Australia spokesperson confirmed no changes have been to the standard specification of the 308 small car, 508 mid-size car and 3008 and 5008 mid-size SUVs, with their price rises instead prompted by exchange-rate pressures.
As such, the 308 remains available in three variants, with the entry-level Allure hatchback and Touring wagon both up $2009, to $30,499 and $32,499 plus on-road costs respectively, while the flagship GT Line hatchback has jumped $2000, to $34,990.
All versions of the front-wheel-drive 308 are motivated by a 96kW/230Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol three-cylinder engine, which is mated to a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.
The 508 is still offered in two variants, with the identically specified GT Fastback hatchback and Sportswagon wagon both up $3500, to $57,490 and $59,490 respectively.
Both versions of the FWD 508 are powered by a 165kW/300Nm 1.6-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine, which is matched to an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.
The five-seat 3008 remains available in three variants, with the entry-level Allure and mid-range GT Line both jumping $3000, to $43,990 and $47,990 respectively, while the flagship GT is up $3500, to $54,990.
Meanwhile, the seven-seat 5008 is still offered in two variants, with the entry-level GT Line jumping $3500, to $51,990, while the flagship GT is up $4000, to $58,990.
