Hyundai is set to go big with the new Palisade in terms of both design and production.
According to The KoreanCarBlog, the 2025 Palisade, which has been spotted testing under heavy camouflage in South Korea, will ride on a considerably bigger platform than its predecessor.
Not only is the Toyota Kluger and Nissan Pathfinder rival rumoured to provide a longer wheelbase than the current Palisade's 2900mm — delivering more legroom and a bigger cabin — the new platform is poised to support two fresh 2.5-litre turbocharged and petrol hybrid engines as well, replacing the current 3.8-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel units.

Hyundai also reportedly plans to increase production for the next-generation Palisade by 30 per cent to some 210,000 units annually, 140,000 of which it aims to be hybrid, suggesting the brand has big sales expectations for its new SUV.
Little has been given away in terms of design, although spy shots show the Palisade will adopt a boxier design, similar to that of the Hyundai Santa Fe, with an overall look that appears reminiscent of a mid-2000s Range Rover Sport.
The Palisade is slated for a complete redesign inside and out, while maintaining its flagship features such as its large, imposing front grille.
Spy shots reveal brand new vertical LED headlights and redesigned alloy wheels, although the cosmetic tweaks are expected to be far more significant.
We can speculate there will be a new dual-screen digital dashboard and new upholstery options.
A floating centre console is likely as well, with the gear shifter expected to migrate to the steering column, possibly freeing up space for a third front seat for a total of nine chairs.
The Palisade is expected to be unveiled in South Korea as soon as December, with sales anticipated to commence in the first half of 2025.
