Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y have undergone their third pricing change in 2023, after the American electric car brand slightly increased the cost of its all-wheel-drive variants.
The change closely follows a pricing increase for the rear-wheel-drive versions of the electric sedan and small SUV, which in turn closely follows an earlier price drop that saw all variants become a little cheaper for the start of 2023.
This means pricing for the most affordable Tesla, the rear-wheel-drive Model 3, remains $64,300 before on-road costs.

A step up to the Long Range AWD now starts from $77,300, however, instead of the $76,900 it cost before.
Pricing on the Tesla website doesn’t account for Luxury Car Tax, so the actual price for the as-listed $90,300 all-wheel-drive Model 3 Performance is really $91,915 with LCT, which is $520 more expensive than before.
For the Model Y, Tesla followed the same pattern, with the lower grade rear-wheel-drive Model Y still $69,300, but the RWD Performance is now also $520 more expensive than before at $98,415 before on-road costs but including LCT.
These prices bring the models closer to where they were before the start of 2023, at which time the entry price to the Tesla brand was $65,500 for the base Model 3.
Also in late 2022, the Model Y topped out in the six-figure bracket at $101,612 before on-roads.
