Two new electric hot hatches bound for Australia to rival Cupra Born, Abarth 500e and MG4 XPower: Pricing revealed for 2025 Mini Cooper Electric JCW and Aceman Electric JCW
Mini has announced pricing for its fully-electric John Cooper Works (JCW) Cooper and Aceman.
Set for a local release in the first quarter of 2025, pricing for the JCW Cooper will commence at $63,990, while the JCW Aceman will start at $65,990, both before on-road costs.
Powering both models is a punchier electric motor that sends 190kW/350Nm to the front wheels — 30kW and 20Nm more than the standard models.
A special JCW boost function unlocks an additional 20kW at your finger tips by the way of Mini’s 'go-kart' mode, which can be activated by hitting the boost paddle on the steering wheel.
All up, both models deliver more power than an electric Cupra Born (170kW/310Nm) and an Abarth 500e (114kW/235Nm), but not as much as an MG4 XPower (320kW/600Nm).
In full flight, the smaller three-door Cooper delivers a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.9 seconds, while the five-door Aceman clocks it at 6.4 seconds. Both cars are good for a top speed of 200km/h.
A 54.2kWh battery pack is also standard, providing 371km of range in the Cooper and 355km in the Aceman, according to the WLTP cycle.
In terms of looks, both models are adorned with the red, white and black JCW logo, which also projects from the door mirrors to greet the driver before they hop inside.
There are unique JCW LED headlight signatures, an octagonal grille in gloss black, as well as black side skirts, C-pillar aeroblades and a rear spoiler to maximise aerodynamics.
A set of 18-inch two-tone JCW rims in black and white come equipped on the Cooper, while larger 19-inch two-tone rims in black and red come standard on the Aceman.
They are wrapped in “high grip” sports tyres and house a “powerful braking system” decorated with red callipers and a white JCW logo.
Customers can opt for seven different paint shades, which includes different racing stripes and roof colours. You can still opt for solid black paint, though.

Inside, the dashboard is clad in a knitted material that comes in a black and red gradient pattern. There’s also interior ambient lighting which illuminates the standard panoramic sunroof on both models.
Front driver and passenger seats receive special JCW seats in black synthetic leather with multicoloured knitted fabric and red stitching.
They are ventilated and heated with electric seat adjustment controls and memory functions.
On both models there is Mini’s signature 240mm circular OLED multimedia display, which houses climate control, media, phone and navigation functions. It is paired to a premium 10-speaker Harmon/Kardon sound system.
Both vehicles are also fitted with Mini’s advanced driver assist system and parking assist plus package which includes features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure and steering assist, and a surround-view camera.
