Volkswagen Crafter 4Motion 2020 pricing and spec confirmed

The German brand has announced pricing and specifications for the newest addition to its commercial vehicle range, the Crafter 4Motion, for those looking for the flexibility offered by all-wheel-drive traction.

The 4Motion option will be available across the Crafter 35 TDI410 range which includes Van MWB (Mid Wheelbase) and LWB (Long Wheelbase), as well as the LWB Single- and Dual-Cab Chassis, making for plenty of choice.

All 4Motion Crafters will be powered by the same engine as the front-wheel-drive variant, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 130kW of power and 410Nm of torque.

Optioning 4Motion all-wheel drive on the Volkswagen Crafter will add $4500 to the pricetag.

Ticking the option box for 4Motion will add a flat fee of $4500 across the range for the Crafter, so the entry-level model, the manual Crafter 4Motion MWB Van, will start at $57,590 before on-road costs.

An eight-speed automatic will raise pricing to $60,590, while the LWB version will cost $60,090 and $64,090 for the manual and self-shifting versions respectively.

Standard equipment in the Crafter 4Motion includes front and side airbags, autonomous emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, driver fatigue detection and crosswind assist.

Buyers can also option advanced driver assist systems such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist and rear cross-traffic alert, as well as a mechanical differential lock and hill decent control.

All Crafter vans are covered by Volkswagen Australia’s five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty which also includes free roadside assistance if you opt for the Volkswagen Care Plan. They package includes capped price servicing that will set you back $1400 for three years and $2300 for five-years.
