The Sport grade of the Stonic sits in the middle of the line-up with its driveaway price of $24,990 if you’d like a manual gearbox and $25,990 for the auto transmission. Kia says the driveaway price will remain in place permanently.
Standard features on the Sport include 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sat nav, six-speaker stereo, premium steering wheel and shifter, push-button start, a proximity key, cloth seats, reversing camera, auto headlights, cruise control, rear parking sensors, electric folding/heated side mirrors and roof racks.
The Sport grade is powered exclusively by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, making 74kW and 133Nm.
The manual gearbox and automatic transmission mated to the 1.4-litre engine are both six-speeds.
The S and Sport grades of the Stonic will adopt the Kia Rio’s five-star ANCAP safety rating from 2017.
