Honda’s diminutive City first called Australia home in the mid-1980s as a two-seat van, while the fifth-generation City was launched here as a light passenger car in 2009 to sit beneath the Civic.
The sixth generation of the four-door, five-seat light sedan debuted in 2014, though it retained the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine. It grew a little in stature, and its boot rivalled larger medium sedans for size and volume.
Facelifted in 2017, the City can still be had from the City VTi with a five-speed manual gearbox at $12,760, though the CVT version reaching up to $22,330 for the City VTi-L is more popular with buyers.
