What is the recommended height and weight of a driver for a 2010 Toyota RAV4?
Car makers do not publish driver height or weight recommendations, but instead usually develop vehicles to suit the height of a 99th percentile male (193cm) down to a 5th percentile woman (150cm).
For shorter-statured people, both the Toyota RAV4 and Toyota Camry offer seat-height and steering-wheel reach and height adjustment, meaning that there should be no issue finding a comfortable seating position. However, given that SUVs such as the RAV4 generally have a larger and deeper glass area as well as higher-set cushions than sedans like the Camry, we recommend the RAV4.
We hope this information helps.
Toyota RAV4 2010: Transmission servicing schedule?
There is no reason for a dealership to do extra work beyond the logbook services, unless something is faulty.
Toyota RAV4 2010: Fix for V6 transmission whine
It's good to hear that there is a fix for the whine, and the gears being cut at the incorrect angle is certainly a plausible explanation. Armed with that information it would appear that Chris has a legitimate claim against Toyota.
Toyota RAV4: Expensive dealership service costs
It is expensive, and in my view excessive, but that's what you get when you take your car to a dealer instead of an independent mechanic. There's no point in shopping around in the hope of finding a dealer who doesn't charge as much, they all charge the same, so the next best is to find an independent mechanic who specializes in Toyotas and go there. Parts and labour are sure to be less.
Toyota RAV4 2010: Fuel injection service?
You are correct, it's not necessary, and that's why Toyota doesn't have it listed in its service schedule. The dealer is simply trying to sell you something you don't need.
Toyota RAV4: Can I use E10?
Toyota’s advice is that models fitted with carburetors shouldn’t use E10, but all others can. That includes your RAV4.
