I have just read the recent announcement of the tech changes to the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, and it mentioned the 8-inch screen now had Apple Car Play/Android Auto. The current Santa Fe Elite and Highlander have 8-inch screens, but unfortunately they don't have Apple Car Play/Android Auto, as it was only supplied on the lower spec models with 7-inch displays. Will current Santa Fe owners be able to receive Apple Car Play/Android Auto as an upgrade? Is it simply a software change that owners can request their dealer to install?

11 Aug 2017Seems it will be possible. We put your question to Hyundai and were told "a hardware upgrade is in the works and should be available in the next month or so".
