I bought a secondhand Nissan Murano in April 2015. There were a few manufacturing problems with it, but not too serious, until yesterday I was driving the car and my diff exploded. I don't drive the car fast or do burnouts; I'm a mum and drive very sensibly. Apparently this is something that should never happen to a car like mine and a mechanic has advised that this is a manufacturing fault and I should get in contact with Nissan. I'm not getting anywhere with them, I can't seem to get the right department. Is there somewhere I can go to get some help?

30 Oct 2015Take it back to where you bought it and see if they will help you with the repairs. It would be much easier if you bought it from a Nissan dealer, that way you could seek goodwill assistance. If you didn't it gets messy. You're not alone; the Murano does have diff problems. If you want to pursue Nissan you should contact the Nissan Customer Service Centre on 1800 035 035.
