Asked by Louisa Harty
I am looking at cars for my 18-year-old twins, the Ford Focus Trend or Holden Cruze Equipe, about 2012 models with 50,000km. I have read about transmission problems with the Cruze and dual-clutch issues with the Focus. It is very difficult to know what to do. Could you help with a decision, or suggest other cars?

16 Oct 2015I couldn't recommend either one, both have issues with their transmissions as your homework suggests. I would urge you to look at similar models from brands such as Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and Kia.
