Luxury Car Tax after Aus manufacturing ends?

Would you happen to know if the federal government will scrap the luxury car tax when we stop making cars here and there will be no Ford Fairlane or Holden Statesman to protect?

No one knows but I’d say it is very, very unlikely. The feds get a lot of money from LCT takings.
