Kia Seltos 2020 revealed: All-new small SUV to arrive in October
Kia has released the first official pictures of the all-new Seltos, with the small SUV scheduled to arrive in Australia from October.
The Seltos is Kia's entrant into the small SUV segment, where it is expected to fight alongside cars like the Toyota C-HR and Nissan Qashqai.
The Seltos, which was revealed today in India, will also be built there, with Kia using its factory in Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh. But Australian cars will be built at the brand's Gwangju plant in Korea.
While Australian specifics are yet to be revealed, the Seltos is available internationally with 16-, 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlights and taillights, LED DRLs and fog lights.
Kia says the Seltos targets "youthful, tech-savvy buyers”, with interior technology that includes a 10.25-inch multimedia touchscreen that’s both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto equipped, along with a Sound Mood Lighting system (you might remember something similar from the now extinct Kia Soul). An 8.0-inch head-up display and an eight-speaker Bose audio system are also available.

Under the hood, Australian cars will arrive with a 110kW, 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with a CVT automatic that sends the power to the front wheels, or with a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine that produces 130kW and sends power to all four wheels via a seven-sped DCT automatic.
And in good news for Aussie buyers, the Seltos will undergo the same localisation process as the rest of the Kia range, with the ride and handling tuned here for local road conditions.
The Seltos is due to arrive in Australia in October, with pricing and specification details to be revealed closer to launch.
