The TT 45 TFSI Quattro is the mid-grade in Audi’s three-variant TT range, sitting above the 20 TFSI and below the TTS.
Identified by its 2.0-litre engine and namesake all-wheel drive system, the 45 TFSI drives 169kW/370Nm to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. There is no longer a manual option in the TT range. Audi claims the 45 TFSI can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 5.3 seconds. It also claims fuel consumption of 6.6L/100km of premium 95RON fuel.

The 45 TFSI wears an MSRP of $79,900 and ships standard with what Audi says is “more than $5000 worth of additional value over the previous model”. The 45 TFSI comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, Audi’s signature 10.25-inch ‘virtual cockpit’ digital dashboard, heated and auto-folding mirrors, and a wireless Qi phone charging bay.
The 45 TFSI can also be chosen with the S-Line sports package ($7,990), which increases specification to include 19-inch alloy wheels, S-Line exterior and interior highlights, Sports front seats, aluminium interior trimmings and a premium audio system.
Multimedia functions, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, are managed through the Virtual Cockpit display.
The TT is a 2+2, meaning two (tight) seats in the back. It has a very limited selection of storage areas for all occupants. The boot capacity is 305 litres with the rear seats in place, and can be extended to 712L with the rear seats folded down.
The TT requires a minimum of 95RON petrol and has a 55-litre fuel tank.
