The Active X sits above the entry grade Active in the Tucson range, with a list price starting from $32,290.
Coming standard on the Active X are 18-inch alloy wheels, LED running lights, an eight-inch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eight-speaker stereo, single-zone air conditioning, rear parking sensors, leather seats, roof rails and power-folding mirrors.
This grade offers two engines to pick from; a 2.0-litre petrol making 122kW and 205Nm (front-wheel drive) and a 2.0-litre diesel with an output of 136kW and 400Nm (all-wheel drive).
The Active X scored the maximum five-star ANCAP rating when it was tested in 2016. The 2020 update added new safety tech on the Active X including AEB that operates at city and urban speeds, and lane keeping assistance. That’s in addition to rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, and six airbags.
