The Genki used to top the range and only comes as a five-door hatch priced at $20,690 for the manual and $22,690 for the auto. You can tell the Genki apart by its gunmetal alloys, body coloured mirrors, LED DRLs, chrome exhaust tip and gunmetal grille decoration.
The extra $3000 over the Maxx means you get 16-inch alloy wheels, power windows and mirrors (now with power folding feature), cloth trim, climate control, sat nav, cruise control, leather gearshifter, handbrake and steering wheel, plus keyless start, reversing camera, auto wipers, auto LED headlights, body coloured mirrors, head-up display and rear parking sensors.
As with the Maxx, the safety package consists of six airbags, ABS and traction and stability controls, forward autonomous emergency braking, G-Vectoring tech and reverse autonomous emergency braking. The Genki picks up blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.

The engine's figure are identical to the Maxx, with the 1.5-litre petrol four offering 81kW/141Nm and has Mazda's i-Stop stop-start system. The official fuel figures are the same too, with the manual returning 5.2L/100km and the auto 4.9L/100km.
