2006 Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R 3.2-litre diesel
I would agree with the dealer's diagnosis of carbon build-up and cleaning it will probably fix it.
Mitsubishi Triton operation noise
We passed the above response from Mitsubishi on to Jodie and Nick. Unfortunately they don't feel that it has been addressed and they believe the issue remains unresolved. We have again contacted Mitsubishi on their behalf to attempt to clarify the company's offer to replace the differential as stated in John Taylor's response to us.
Mitsubishi Triton clunking noise
It does sound like it could be a problem with the differential. At this stage you should continue to seek a solution with the dealer and Mitsubishi. We will contact Mitsubishi on your behalf and see if we can enlist higher up help.
Mitsubish Triton 2008: Airbag clock spring
Yes, I do. You might not get the full amount reimbursed, but I think you have a good claim for part payment of the costs involved.
Mitsubishi Triton 2012: Diesel valve clearance
You'll find most diesels no matter the brand require regular valve clearance adjustments. To avoid surprises like this I always urge people to do their homework on the cost of ownership before they sign up for their new car.
Mitsubishi Triton: Statutory write-off after water crossing
I presume the insurance company has inspected the vehicle, so peak top them and ask why they have chosen to write it off. Ask for a report on the findings of their inspection and take that to an engineer approved by your registration authority and have them check it for you. You might be able to use that information to appeal the decision with the rego people.
Mitsubishi Triton: Diagnostics
With mechanics relying so much on diagnostics today to trace faults, finding the cause of problems that don't show up on the computer can be frustrating. Good advice for Craig, the owner of the complaint car, to follow-up on.
