Mitsubishi Triton 2008: Turbo failure
This is one of the nasties of modern cars, the issues that have no ready explanation. It could be an electronic issue. The computer could be detecting something is not right, so shuts the turbo off. Re-starting would have the effect of rebooting the computer.
Mitsubishi Triton 2011: Airbag warning light
You're perfectly entitled to expect the airbags to work correctly, and Mitsubishi must address the problem to ensure they do work as they're designed to do. Ask the dealer for a full report on what the problem is and how they intend to fix it. Most importantly ask them for a timetable of when it will be fixed, and request a letter from Mitsubishi stating that your car is safe to drive in the meantime. If they won't provide you with that letter, demand a replacement car to drive until they have fixed yours.
Triton GLX-R blows black smoke
You don't say if the engine is a petrol or diesel, but I'm guessing it's a diesel. If that's the case it's likely to be excessive fuel, which could be an injector problem, or a fuel pump issue. Get it to a diesel mechanic, who should be able to sort it out.
Mitsubishi Triton: Sagging suspension
Yours is the second report of sagging Triton rear springs we have had. We went to Mitsubishi with that previous report and asked them to check the vehicle, it was one of five that owner had, and the response was that there was nothing wrong with it. But it seems the way to fix the problem is to fit heavy-duty rear springs, and your case also shock absorbers, which makes you want to ask the question of its fitness to do the job it is claimed it is designed to do. I would contact your dealer again and express your dissatisfaction with the vehicle, and if you feel you want to go further contact Mitsubishi direct.
Sagging springs Triton
You were poorly advised by the selling dealer, who should have taken more notice of what the vehicle would be used for and given you the option of upgrading the suspension if that was deemed necessary. It also appears that you have been poorly treated by Mitsubishi who should be looking to sort the problem out before they lose a customer. But poor old Mitsubishi, it seems, is doing it tough and can't afford five sets of new springs. Keep the pressure up.
Mitsubishi MN dual-cab ute spring concerns
We asked Mitsubishi to investigate the problem and establish what is going on, and their initial advice was that it "sounds weird and should be checked" and that you should contact your nearest Mitsubishi dealer to do that. Depending on the outcome of that check you might be able to take it further with the company.
Mitsubishi Triton 2008: Faulty caliper
No I don't think you are being unreasonable, the brake caliper should last for the life of the vehicle.
Mitsubishi Triton 2007: Blocked fuel injectors
The injectors used in all of these Japanese common-rail diesels wear and that's likely to be your problem. The only course of action is to replace them, as you have been advised.
Will modifying my car void the warranty?
The warranty covers the car as it is delivered from the factory, any modification made to it after that can have affect it. It doesn't void the warranty completely, but it does affect the parts of the car that have been modified to fit the accessories. The bottom line is that if the accessory or its installation causes a failure on the car the warranty won't cover repairs.
