Pathfinder Hybrid battery pack covered by warranty?
Nissan told us that "the battery in the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid is covered for the same period as the new-vehicle warranty, which is three years or 100,000 km, whichever occurs first. There is the option for buyers to extend this new-vehicle warranty up to a total of six years as part of the Genuine Nissan Extended Warranty program."
How to get the best cash deal on a Nissan Pathfinder?
There are no rules as to the margins dealers set. It can vary considerably from dealer to dealer, one with a glitzy showroom and an army of salespeople might have less of a margin compared to one who works alone in a no-frills yard. It really comes down to your negotiating skills. Sometimes cash isn't a big incentive, because it rules out finance deals and the like that add to a dealers return.
Best 7-seater SUV?
You've missed my pick, and our current Car of the Year, the Kia Sorento. It's better than any of your contenders and a top car that gets The Tick from me.
2015 Pathfinder Ti - extended warranty?
Generally I don’t recommend buying extended warranty, as I don’t believe it offers value for money. It’s mostly a way for dealers to make more money out of the deal, but having extended warranty does give some people peace of mind and that’s perfectly understandable. If that’s what you feel then go ahead, but carefully read the warranty documents so you understand what it covers and what it doesn’t.
$50K SUV - Pathfinder vs Kluger vs Grand Cherokee
Getting the Jeep would be overkill if you don't go off-road and it seems you've answered your own question in favour of the Nissan. I give the Pathfinder The Tick and it tops the Kluger for me.
Best replacement for Kluger?
Looking at seven-seater SUVs, the new Kia Sorento is excellent in all areas to earn The Tick and the Nissan Pathfinder is a good choice. One of them should work for you, your budget and your towing duties.
Fuel efficiency of Pathfinder?
Remember that the fuel consumption figure quoted by Nissan is derived from a laboratory test, not real-life running. It’s meant to give you a guide so you can compare it to other makes and models. Even so I would expect your car to get close to the consumption in the real world that you and I live in. I would think you should be able to get between 10 and 10.5L/100 km, not 13. Go back to the dealer and ask them to have your car investigated by Nissan to find out why it’s not delivering reasonable fuel economy. If they refuse go direct to Nissan and make the same request.
