The Platinum remains the top trim level in the Kia Carnival range, with the new fourth-generation model kicking off at $64,680 (MSRP) or $67,990 (drive away). This is for the petrol version, with the diesel adding an extra $2000. Opting for the cheaper SLi will save you $7800.
The top of the range Platinum gets a whole new grille and black 19-inch alloys, wireless phone charger, 12-speaker Bose audio, twin electric sunroofs, heated steering wheel and first two rows of seats, ventilated front seats, memory adjustable front seats, retractable window blinds for the second and third row of seats and a rotary gear selector.
Like all Carnival trim levels, the Platinum is available with either a 3.5-litre petrol V6 or a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel, with official fuel consumption figures of 9.6L/100km and 6.5L/100km respectively.
