Nissan Patrol 2021 review: Ti-L
The Nissan Patrol is a solid off-road performer, but how does it work for every day driving with a family?

The GR Sport is a new adventure-flavoured trim level in the new LandCruiser LC300 line-up, which sits almost alongside the more luxury-focused Sahara ZX at the very top of the range. It’s advertised at $137,790 (MSRP).
You could choose the Sahara for $6,600 less, or move up to the Sahara ZX for an extra $1000.
The GR Sport’s adventure philosophy shift from the Sahara’s luxury means black details and the classic TOYOTA uppercase badge on the grille, a bunch of GR badging, but also a bunch of unpainted plastic to make it more rugged when you’re off-road.
It’s also only got five seats - trimmed with black or black and red leather - and loses the Sahara’s rear seat screens, which makes it ideal for mounting a fridge and a set of drawers in the boot for touring.
Further supporting this notion are front and rear diff locks, and it’s the only model to get the clever e-KDSS active swaybar system for allowing more suspension travel on rough terrain.
Like all LC300 trim levels, the GR Sport is fitted with the new 227kW/700Nm 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel, with an official fuel consumption figure of 8.9L/100km.
