BMW X2 2019 review: M35i
Australia hasn't drawn the BMW X2 to its SUV-buying bosom. The M35i is late to the performance SUV party, but to make up for it, it's cheap(er than some of its main rivals). But is it good?

The Range Rover Evoque SE is the mid-spec Evoque, priced from $68,610 before on-road costs.
The SE has the option of any of the six engine options (three petrol, three diesel) available in the Evoque range, and can add the R-Dynamic sports body kit to any combination for an extra $1680. All engine options are 2.0-litre turbos driving all four wheels via a nine-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Pricing for the diesel engines is $70,580 for the 110kW/380Nm D150, $72,890 for the 132kW/430Nm D180, and $83,190 for the 177kW/500Nm D240.
Pricing for the petrol engines is $68,610 fore the 147kW/320Nm P200, $72,780 for the 183kW/365Nm P250 and $82,620 for the 221kW/400Nm P300.
Standard equipment on the SE includes 20-inch alloy wheels, the dual-screen ‘Touch Pro Duo’ multi-function touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support as well as built-in sat nav, leather interior with 14-way electrically adjustable front seats, climate control, a six-speaker stereo, auto-dimming rear view mirror, premium LED headlights with auto high-beam control, a reversing camera as well as front and rear parking sensors.
The new Evoque range carries a maximum five-star ANCAP safety rating and has auto emergency braking (AEB), lane keep assist (LKAS) and traffic sign recognition as standard. The SE gains a 360-degree camera, auto-park assist and rear-cross traffic alert as standard.
Other safety items can be optionally added, but for the most comprehensive suite the ‘Driver Assist Pack’ bundles blind-spot monitoring (BSM), higher-speed auto emergency braking and adaptive cruise control together. The pack costs $1830 on the SE.
All Evoques also have front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and ISOFIX child-seat mounting points on the outboard rear seats.
Land Rover offers a three-year/100,000km warranty and servicing is condition-based but at least 12-monthly for the new Evoque range.
