The Sorento Sport+ is one down from the flagship GT-Line and gets a lot more kit than the base S.
The seven-seat Sorento Sport+ includes features over and above the two grades below it, like a premium Bose 12-speaker sound system, USB-C chargers in the second and third row, a heated steering wheel, a second-row sunshade and more.
If you want more gear, you’ll need to step up to the GT-Line flagship.
The 2024 facelift introduces an EV9-like exterior makeover, new curved multimedia and driver display and a modernised dash and console, as well as improvements to ride and handling.
As with all grades it’s available with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol (2WD), or a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel (AWD), and while the latter will set you back an extra $3000 over the petrol, it’s the pick of the non-hybrid grades.
All Sorentos have a solid list of standard safety gear that includes auto emergency braking with a forward collision warning and vehicle, pedestrian, cyclist and junction detection, lane-keep assist, lane-follow assist, blind-spot collision assist, safe exit warning, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver attention alert and a rear occupant alert.
